The Master of Education (Education and Development) program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) provides candidates with opportunities to undertake advanced study in all aspects of education and development, to enhance their professional knowledge, and extend their knowledge of related areas in education and development, examining all perspectives around the world.
The programme aims to equip candidates with broad theoretical knowledge and practices, and scholarship relevant to the field of Education and Development. The programme produces tools and resources for educational practitioners and professionals to explore social, economic, political and environmental issues of sustainable development in their classrooms, communities and around the world. The programme will analyse and expose candidates to comprehensive knowledge of related theories and their applications in Education and Development.
The programme prepares educational practitioners and professionals for leadership roles in education, extension work, and human resource development. Graduates of the programme will be eligible for employment particularly in educational and organizational setting, and as well as educational researchers

“CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the bachelor degree in Education or bachelor degree from other areas of specialization with a Diploma in Education with CGPA not less than 2.5 ; or
Bachelor degree with CGPA < 2.5 but have teaching experience or relevant work experience may be considered – subject to conditions and procedures prescribed by University ; or
Candidates without professional qualifications may be considered into the programme but must complete one additional course during first semester of the programme:

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
International students who wish to enroll in the postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the English language competency requirements as stipulated below:
Malaysia University Entrance Test (MUET) with a minimum score of Band 4.0 and above; or
IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 and above; or
TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 60 and above; or
Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), with a minimum score of 169 and above; or
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with a minimum score of 59 and above; or
Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) achieving Level 109 and above.
