CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the bachelor degree in Education or bachelor degree from other areas of specialization with a Diploma in Education with CGPA not less than 2.5 ; or
Bachelor degree with CGPA < 2.5 but have teaching experience or relevant work experience may be considered – subject to conditions and procedures prescribed by University ; or Candidates without professional qualifications may be considered into the programme but must complete one additional course during first semester of the programme: 1. Foundation of Education Admission through apel (For malaysian candidates only) Malaysian citizens with an APEL.A T7 certificate can be considered for admission (subject to faculty approval). ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT International students who wish to enroll in the postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the English language competency requirements as stipulated below: Malaysia University Entrance Test (MUET) with a minimum score of Band 4.0 and above; or IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 and above; or TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 60 and above; or Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), with a minimum score of 169 and above; or Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with a minimum score of 59 and above; or Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) achieving Level 109 and above.
