The Bachelor of Landscape Architecture with Honours is designed to produce professionals who are technically competent, knowledgeable, and both critical and creative in solving problems related to heritage, tropical environments, urban development, and natural resources. Established in 1993, the programme is founded on the core understanding of Man as the steward of the Earth and is guided by strong design and built-environment philosophies.

Landscape architecture integrates art and science in the design, planning, and management of outdoor spaces. It involves the use of land and water elements to create functional, sustainable, and aesthetically pleasing environments that enhance quality of life in residential, work, and recreational settings. The discipline spans diverse contexts, including urban, rural, communal, ecological, and regional landscapes. Landscape architects serve not only as designers but also as professionals who create landscapes that respond to human habitation in diverse cultural and ecological contexts.
