The Bachelor of Psychology with Human Resource Development with Honours provides you with a unique opportunity to obtain a multidisciplinary bachelor degree with a major in psychology and a minor in human resource development fields. This program offers an in-depth understanding of human behaviours and mental processes and also the core understanding of human resource development. It integrates biological, social, and individual factors that shape human psychological processes. You will also learn about prominent human resource theories and practices such as talent development, organization behaviour, and employee well-being skills required to successfully manage people at work. The program offers psychology major core and elective courses, human resource development minor core courses and university general courses, employing active blended learning approaches. The course also requires the students to complete final year research project to enhance their scientific and research skills. Students will also undergo 20 weeks of supervised industrial exposure in the final semester, providing them with valuable experience to apply theoretical learning to real-world contexts. With the hands-on experience, you will develop your research, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills to analyse and address complex behavioural issues in diverse settings. With this bachelor degree, graduates may gain entry to numerous career prospects including and not limited to: psychology officer, researcher, lecturer, human resource executive, workplace well-being coordinator, recruitment consultant, training coordinator, and corporate trainer. The course is offered in full-time mode comprising of eight (8) regular semesters and in part-time mode comprising of twelve (12) regular semesters. The course requires students to undergo 6 months (24 weeks) of industrial training during the 7th semester (for full-time mode). Assessment of students’ performance is based on formative and summative evaluation conducted throughout each semester.

This programme is offered in full-time mode. Each academic year comprises 3 semesters (for Year 1 and Year 2) and 2 semesters for Year 3. In their second year, students are required to choose either operation concentration or innovation concentration. However, students can choose their elective courses from other concentration and optional electives. Assessment of students’ performance is based on formative and summative evaluation conducted throughout each semester. The final semester is used for industrial training.

The course is offered on full-time mode and is based on 2 semesters academic session. The subjects are distributed and sequenced according to the level of knowledge (i.e. basic to advance). Assessment is based on formative and summative evaluation conducted throughout the semester.

The Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering with Honours is offered on a full-time basis. There is a growing demand for technical professionals who can effectively integrate the fields of biomedical science and engineering. Professionals who are capable of understanding medical problems within the context of engineering sciences will be able to solve problems that are of interest to both engineers and medical practitioners. This new field of biomedical engineering has made significant contributions to technological advancement in various fields of medicine and healthcare. These include the creation and production of artificial human parts, communication aids and assistive tools for people with disabilities, new diagnostic and therapeutic tools that lead to new medical procedures, etc. Technology in medicine has advanced so much that, today, there are countless medical devices specifically designed for home use.

The Bachelor of Electrical Engineering with Honours (SKEEH) program, offered by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at UTM, is designed to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience needed to thrive in the field of electrical engineering. This dynamic program provides a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, complemented by specialized courses, general education, and essential non-technical subjects. Students gain real-world exposure through industry-driven training, guest lectures from experts, and practical learning experiences integrated into the curriculum. Beyond technical expertise, this program fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork, communication, and lifelong learning skills, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for exciting careers in both private and public sectors or further studies at the postgraduate level. This programme is offered in full-time based on a 2-Semester per academic session at the UTM Main Campus in Johor Bahru. The study duration for the full-time programme is subject to the student’s entry qualifications and lasts between four (4) years and a maximum of six (6) years. Generally, students are expected to undertake courses equivalent to sixteen (16) to eighteen (18) credit hours per semester. Assessment is based on coursework and final examinations given throughout the semester.

The Bachelor of Electronic Engineering with Honours is offered either on a full-time or part time basis. The full-time programme is offered only at the UTM Main Campus in Johor Bahru, while the part-time programme is offered at various learning centres throughout Malaysia. The duration of study for the full-time programme is subjected to the student’s entry qualifications and lasts between four (4) years to a maximum of six (6) years. The programme is offered on full-time basis and is based on a 2-Semester per academic session. Generally, students are expected to undertake courses equivalent to between fifteen (15) to eighteen (18) credit hours per semester. Assessment is based on courseworks and final examinations given throughout the semester.

Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical-Mechatronics) is a program with honours that has been established and offered for more than two decades by UTM. The program is a four-year program completed with one year final year project. Mechatronic Engineering is an engineering field which combines engineering fields such as Electronic, Electric, Mechanical, Control, Software, Computer and Information Technology. This field has become rapidly increasing and expanding within industries especially in manufacturing industry since the significance of micro processing and micro control is recognized its significance in industrial control. Furthermore, Mechatronic is the technology behind the smart products, which typically includes microprocessor, control system and mechanical field. An engineer equipped with knowledge, experience and specialization in Mechatronic field is a pre-requisite for any up and running industry.

Industrial design is the integration of aesthetics, technology, ergonomics and marketing – know- how into new products, in which the needs of people are transformed into potentially commercial products. The Industrial Design programme curriculum at Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics as a whole can be regarded as one big creative-course, directed towards new products as commercial and business-opportunities. Through a series of design-projects, which is the core of the curriculum, the students get to go through a creative problem-solving design attitude. This inculcates the attitude that evokes interest in applicable know-how and skills. The curriculum is balanced in such a way that knowledge and skills learned through courses can almost immediately be applied in the product design project. The industrial design is a four-year programme. There is an internship in the third year with a company locally and planning abroad. The education model we apply at Industrial Design Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics is unique in Malaysia. Students will work in a simulated professional design environment, where they work in groups and individuals. The students are also given related individual assignments. About 80% of the student’s time is spent on the core courses, about 20% on university compulsory courses in which students acquire basic knowledge and skills. The programme course consists of basic training and subsequently specialisation in different areas. Students are thoroughly introduced to the design profession in the first year, so they will find out quite quickly whether they are suited to it or not. All students develop a digital portfolio detailing their experience during the course of their studies showing what they have created or learnt. Students are graded on their portfolios and formal examinations. Successful completion of the programme in Industrial Design results in Bachelor of Science with Honours Industrial Design.

Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence with honours offers in Faculty of Artificial Intelligence UTM is a 3-year program and is designed to provide students with a broad background in the principles, methodologies, and applications of AI. The program gives students the knowledge and skills to overcome and cope with the problems and opportunities of the emerging field of AI. The curriculum will provide a foundational course in mathematics and computer science and core AI courses. This comprises a set of courses that will particularly concentrate on the field of AI, including machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, generative AI, Responsible AI, and ethics and many more. Elective courses cover advanced topics in AI and AI applications in different domains. Students can choose up to 11 elective courses as per their interest or aspiration. The program emphasizes industry infused and hands-on experience via practical training, projects, and internships. Through this, the students will get a chance to apply AI techniques to real-world problems. Such hands-on experience will surely help the students gain critical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Upon completion of the Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence with Honours program at UTM, graduates are well-equipped to pursue careers in various sectors such as technology, healthcare, finance, manufacturing, and more.
