The Master of Engineering in Environmental Management is a comprehensive program designed to equip students with in-depth knowledge and technical expertise to tackle environmental challenges using engineering and management solutions. It is ideal for professionals and graduates aiming to advance their careers in environmental sustainability, resource management, pollution control, and regulatory compliance. The program aims to integrate and generate an advanced and in-depth knowledge in specific field of Forensic Engineering in professional practices. This program combines four main areas which relates to the failure of structural and construction in civil, electrical, mechanical and chemical engineering.
The purpose of a forensic engineering investigation is to locate cause or causes of failure with a view to improve performance or life of a component, or to assist a court in determining the facts of an accident.
Forensic engineers often are used in product’s, design’s or object’s failure.

The Master of Engineering in Construction Management has been established to meet the industry's need for producing a manager capable of handling the complexities of construction management. Additionally, this program provides a foundation that promotes methods of mastering competencies and integrating knowledge for students. The structure of the program and course content have taken into account the required standards for programs in the field of the latest technology use as set by MQA, findings from the industry panel, and current trends. This program has been designed to meet the current needs in construction management and expose students to a broad industry perspective, while also educating them to always look forward. This program also equips and exposes students to the technological requirements that can be applied in construction management in line with the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0). Furthermore, the program emphasizes the importance of ethics and integrity in management, leadership, and good governance, which are essential for a manager.

"The Malaysian Government has launched the Malaysia Digital Economy Action Framework (MyDigital) and is expected to create 500,000 job opportunities in the field of information technology that need to be filled by local IT experts. This program aligns with the current needs of the Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0) and 21st-century learning using a transdisciplinary approach. The program, designed in a transdisciplinary manner, has the potential to attract a larger number of student admissions from various fields, targeting candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in any field from any recognized Higher Education Institution by the Senate of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. The program also incorporates future skills development, including aspects of business (including business law and intellectual property) and exposure to and use of the latest technology, supported by industry panels and other stakeholders. Furthermore, the program has produced knowledgeable entrepreneurs providing technology-based solutions and digital business. It is expected to meet current market needs, remain relevant, and attract the interest of many prospective students. Graduates of this program are capable of running IT-based businesses and indirectly creating job opportunities for the public.
Meanwhile, the offering of the Bachelor’s-Master’s Integration Program (PRISMS) to students can encourage postgraduate student enrollment in this program. The program also accepts student applicants through APEL A and APEL C, considering work experience and credit transfer. The Teaching and Learning Methodology (PdP) for courses in this program is student-centered, employing active learning. In addition to face-to-face learning, the program will also use blended learning methods assisted by digital applications, such as online meeting applications like WEBEX and UTM e-Learning, for synchronous or asynchronous online learning implementation. A transformative 21st-century delivery-based PdP is also applied in this program. The methods used are based on the New Academia Learning Innovation (NALI), such as:

In addition to traditional assessments, courses in this program will also use alternative assessments. Alternative assessment is a method that measures the level of student mastery compared to the level of student knowledge through Project-Based Assessment and Case Study-Based Assessment methods. It refers to the understanding of students in completing an assignment by utilizing existing knowledge."

The programme is designed for students who are interested in pursuing a career in management. Students will be exposed with basic knowledge of management and equipped with specialized knowledge to plan and leverage technological capabilities and resources within an organization in achieving its strategic and operational objectives.
There is no prerequisite for management, business or economics knowledge prior to enrolment in this programme. Students are required to take core subjects in management and elective courses within technology management and other management specialisations and also university general courses. As part of the requirements, students are to write a dissertation based research on managerial issues in selected organisations or based on secondary data related to technology management.
The programme is suitable for both fresh undergraduates and also engineers, technologists, supervisors with some working experience who wish to move up in their managerial career ladders.
