The Doctor of Professional Practice programme, the first of its kind in Malaysia, is a collaborative effort (PAKAT) by eight engineering, science and technology faculties of UTM. It’s a mixed mode program (30%-70%) and the T&L method is through ODL. The targeted students are working professionals with a minimum of three years related working experiences.

5 core courses 2 elective courses
1 university general course. Six Industrial Projects, Two Project Audits. One Casptone Report

PEO 1: Mastery of knowledge and competency in advanced areas of Civil Engineering.
PEO 2: Professionalism and high standards of ethical conducts within organization and society.
PEO 3: Responsive to changing situations by continuously acquiring new knowledge and skills.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS (Doctoral Degree at UTM)
To join the prestigious family of UTM postgraduates, here's what you need in your academic backpack:
Master’s Degree:
From Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) or any other university recognized by the UTM Senate.
Or other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree plus relevant field experience, as recognized by the Senate.
Bonus route: If you’re already a UTM master's student, you may upgrade if your faculty’s Graduate Studies Committee and the Senate approve it. (Basically, if you're awesome, they notice!)
Work Experience:
At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field — time to put that experience badge to good use!

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS (International Students)
