The master’s degree in Petroleum Engineering is designed to address the need for skilled Petroleum Engineering professionals by integrating the basic and advanced knowledge of petroleum engineering ranging from upstream to downstream. The programme targets both fresh graduates and experienced candidates and aims to provide quality post-graduate education to enhance the career opportunity and development of candidates.
The programme is offered full-time at the UTM campuses in Johor Bahru and Kuala Lumpur and is open to candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering. Graduates from other disciplines with more than five years’ experience in the oil and gas industry are encouraged and welcomed to apply. The minimum study duration is 1.5 years (3 semesters), and the maximum is 4 years (8 semesters).

Upon completion of this programme, a student will be able to:
