The Educational Psychology Program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed to critically analyze and address challenges in educational settings. Through a blend of theoretical foundations and practical application, the program fosters an understanding of how cognitive, emotional, and social factors influence learning and development. Students will learn to apply psychological principles to assess and resolve educational issues, make informed decisions, and generate innovative solutions to improve teaching, learning, and student well-being. The program prepares graduates to contribute effectively to educational systems, schools, and research through a focus on problem-solving, critical thinking, and evidence-based strategies.

“CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the bachelor degree in Education or bachelor degree from other areas of specialization with a Diploma in Education with CGPA not less than 2.5 ; or
Bachelor degree with CGPA < 2.5 but have teaching experience or relevant work experience may be considered – subject to conditions and procedures prescribed by University ; or
Candidates without professional qualifications may be considered into the programme but must complete one additional course during first semester of the programme:

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
International students who wish to enroll in the postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the English language competency requirements as stipulated below:
Malaysia University Entrance Test (MUET) with a minimum score of Band 4.0 and above; or
IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 and above; or
TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 60 and above; or
Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), with a minimum score of 169 and above; or
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with a minimum score of 59 and above; or
Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) achieving Level 109 and above.
