The Master of Education (Technical and Vocational Education) program at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) is a postgraduate program designed to develop professional educators and researchers in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). This program offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and practical application aimed at strengthening pedagogical competencies, curriculum development, and innovation in TVET. With a focus on global issues on human talent and skilled workforce, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies, the program prepares graduates to meet the challenges of 21st-century education. Students will also have the opportunity to engage in specialized research areas, such as TVET management, technology pedagogy, and the development of soft skills, aligned with industry and community needs. Through problem-solving approaches and lifelong learning strategies, the program supports the professional development and competitiveness of its graduates at both national and international levels.

“CGPA ≥ 2.5 for the bachelor degree in Education or bachelor degree from other areas of specialization with a Diploma in Education with CGPA not less than 2.5 ; or
Bachelor degree with CGPA < 2.5 but have teaching experience or relevant work experience may be considered – subject to conditions and procedures prescribed by University ; or
Candidates without professional qualifications may be considered into the programme but must complete one additional course during first semester of the programme:

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENT
International students who wish to enroll in the postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the English language competency requirements as stipulated below:
Malaysia University Entrance Test (MUET) with a minimum score of Band 4.0 and above; or
IELTS with a minimum score of Band 6.0 and above; or
TOEFL iBT with a minimum score of 60 and above; or
Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), with a minimum score of 169 and above; or
Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic with a minimum score of 59 and above; or
Certified Intensive English Programme Level (CIEP Level) achieving Level 109 and above.
