\u200bAll international students applying to Open and Distance Learning (ODL) programmes at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) are required to obtain the EMGS Approval to Study, in compliance with regulations set by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education and Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS).<\/p>\n
The EMGS Approval to Study is mandatory for international students who will be pursuing their studies fully online from abroad, as all ODL programmes at UTM are delivered entirely online with no physical attendance required on campus. This approval ensures that international students are officially registered with the Higher Education Authority and enables the issuance of an official Letter of Approval, which is required for enrolment.<\/p>\n
Students may begin the application for EMGS Approval to Study upon receiving the official offer letter from UTM.
