General University Requirements:
\nMust meet the minimum qualification requirements:
\na) A Master\u2019s Degree in the field or a related field recognized by the University Senate; or
\nb) Other qualifications equivalent to a Master\u2019s Degree recognized by the Government of Malaysia;
\nc) Candidates without relevant qualifications in the field or relevant work experience must undergo a prerequisite course as determined by the Faculty\/School.
\nIf the candidate has completed a prerequisite course through:
\ni. Micro-credentials; or
\nii. MOOCs; or
\niii. Elective courses taken during Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s studies, evidence of course results can be submitted to UTM for registration purposes.<\/p>\n
English Language Requirements (for International Students):
\nInternational students applying for postgraduate programs at UTM must meet the following English language proficiency requirements:
\na) IELTS Band 6.0 and above; or
\nb) TOEFL iBT score of 60 and above; or
\nc) Cambridge English Qualifications (CEQ) with a score of B2 First (FCE), C1 Advanced (CAE), C2 Proficiency (CPE), Linguaskill with a score of 169 and above; or
\nd) PTE Academic with a score of 59 and above; or
\ne) Malaysian University English Test (MUET) Band 4 and above; or
\nf) ELS Certified Intensive English Programme (CIEP) with Level 108 and above; or
\ng) Any examination aligned with The Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) with a minimum score of B2.
\nExemptions from the English language requirement may be granted to international students from countries where English is the official language of instruction or to those who have obtained academic qualifications from institutions in countries where English is the official language of instruction.
\nStudents who do not meet the English language requirements may enroll in the Intensive English Programme (IEP) at the UTM Language Academy or CIEP at any ELS Language Centre for up to one year from the date of registration. After completing and passing the program, students must take an examination aligned with CEFR and achieve a minimum score of B2 to be eligible for admission to UTM.<\/p>\n
For international students who do not meet the English language proficiency requirements, a conditional offer may be considered under the following conditions:
\na) The student must enroll in an English preparation course designated by UTM.
