{"id":406883,"date":"2026-05-12T12:56:01","date_gmt":"2026-05-12T04:56:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/admission.utm.my\/new2024\/programmes\/master-in-islamic-studies-2\/"},"modified":"2026-10-30T17:29:32","modified_gmt":"2026-10-30T09:29:32","slug":"master-in-islamic-studies-2","status":"publish","type":"programmes","link":"https:\/\/admission.utm.my\/new2024\/programmes\/master-in-islamic-studies-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Master in Islamic Studies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Entry Requirements<br \/>\nA Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Islamic Studies or Islamic Education, or an equivalent qualification from any recognised institution (local or international), with a minimum CGPA of 2.50; or<br \/>\nCandidates with a CGPA between 2.00 and 2.49 may be considered if they have at least five (5) years of working experience in a relevant field.; or<br \/>\nCandidates with a Bachelor\u2019s Degree in a field other than Islamic Studies from any recognised institution (local or international) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, and who possess at least a diploma in Islamic Studies recognised by MQA, may also be considered, subject to a rigorous document assessment by the faculty.<\/p>\n<p>English Language Requirement (International Students)<br \/>\nEnglish language proficiency level of either a minimum of IELTS Band 6.0 or TOEFL 550 (or 179 IBT).<br \/>\nApplicants who do not meet the English proficiency requirements of their chosen programme at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) can improve their English at Intensive English Programme (IEP) at Language Academy, UTM or CIEP at ELS Language Centers in Malaysia.
